At just 18, Luke Littler has already become a familiar face on screens around the world. But behind the global recognition and the trophy cabinet is a teenager who still loves a lie-in, spends hours on his Xbox, and never loses sight of what really matters.
We caught up with the rising darts star to talk about life beyond the game — from handling sudden fame to balancing ambition with staying grounded.
Fame, Fans, and Finding Balance
Luke’s rise to stardom was fast, and adjusting to the spotlight wasn’t easy at first. “It was difficult to start with,” he admits, “but I’m getting used to it now.” The public reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. “I get lots of people coming up to me for pictures and to tell me they’re big fans and love watching me play.”

Routine, Relaxation and the Xbox Life
When he’s not competing, Luke keeps it simple. “Wake up, play on the Xbox, play on my phone, look through socials — the usual really,” he says with a smile. FIFA is a go-to favourite, especially opening packs, and he never says no to a bit of downtime watching football.
Despite his growing success, Luke doesn’t overcomplicate things when preparing for big tournaments. “I don’t really have a strategy. I do the usual bit of practice, go out with my mates, play Xbox.”
Staying Grounded
Ask him what’s helped him stay focused, and his answer is refreshingly humble: “Practice, keeping my feet on the ground, and not getting carried away with the hype.” Even with a World Championship win to his name — his proudest moment so far — Luke remains more interested in consistency than celebrity.
Looking Ahead
As for the future? “To be a multiple World Champion and still be playing the game in 10 years,” he says confidently. And for those dreaming of following in his footsteps? His advice is simple but solid: “Chase your dreams, keep practising and have good people around you.”
